                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO REZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED AT 2601 GLASS
                   STREET, BEING ON THE NORTHWEST LINE OF GLASS
                   STREET AT AWTRY STREET, FROM R-2 RESIDENTIAL
                   ZONE TO C-2 CONVENIENCE COMMERCIAL ZONE,
                   SUBJECT TO CERTAIN CONDITIONS.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
               
                A tract of land located at 2601 Glass Street, being
                on the northwest line of Glass Street at Awtry
                Street.  Lot 26, Spring Place Addition to Sherman
                Heights, as shown by plat of record in plat book 3,
                page 19, ROHC; being the property described as
                Tract 2 in deed book 4491, page 196, ROHC.  Tax Map
                No. 137A-P-24.
               
               
         from R-2 Residential Zone to C-2 Convenience Commercial Zone.

              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this rezoning 

         shall be subject to the following conditions:
        
              1.   Subject to the approval of parking by the City 
Traffic
                   Engineer.
        
              2.   All existing easements are retained.
        
        
              	   SECTION 3.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, as
         required by law.
